Show Pingree, Idaho Piugroe, Idaho, in Bingham County, is tho latest new town in the fertile Gem State to create a sensation. Tho town is in tho center of a vast area of nowly irrigated lands watered from tho Snake Rivor, and it will bo tho distributing point for all that valloy. Tho Oregon Short Lino is laying track to the new town and will bo running trains there early in Juno. Tho Town-site Town-site Company has expouded nearly $100,000.00 already in erecting a very fine hotel and row of stores, and in addition to this warehouses aud cottages will be completed at a very early date. A complete water system has also been installed; coment curbs and sidewalks are being laid and shade trees planted, so that tho town is already beginning begin-ning to take on proportions equal to many towns of many years growth. On or about June 15th a big oxcursion will be opened to the now town when a drawing for town lots will take place and hundreds of local business men, bankers, merchants and others are going to get in on tho ground floor. Twin Falls, another prosperous Idaho town now has a population of eight thousand, n but six years ago its sito was a h sagebrush waste. Pingrco has B every opportunity of becoming ! an equally thriving community. Plans for a school house. I church aud other structures aro now being drawn and by the time the opening takes place rl tho town will bo a hive of in- dustry. |
