Manasa, tho owner own-er of the handsome Manasa block was erecting tho building, ho promised, on its completion, togivo his friends and tho public a grand free ball. Tho promiso was fulfilled Wednesday nignt when over 300 peoplo of this city and vicinity vi-cinity tripped tho light fantastic too at tho Manasa hall to the music of Garland's famous orchestra. It was one of tho best social ovents evor given in this city and evorybody present had a splendid time. In fact the crowd in attendance attend-ance enjoyed tho dancing so well that at 12 o'clock a collection was taken up to hire the orchestra orche-stra to keep tho music going until un-til tho clock struck ono. Tho floor is a daisy and the hall is'plonty largo enough to accomidato a go6d sized crowd. Hereafter Mr. Manasa will conduct con-duct a roller-skating rink at tho hall and those who enjoy this pleasant pastime, can spond their loisuro hours at the Manasa skating rink. |
