Show L. S. C. Club. Mrs. A. R. Capener entertained enter-tained tho members of the Ladies' Solf-Culturo Club at her home on North Main street Thursday afternoon of this week. Eighteen members were present and tho following ladies were guests of the hostess: Mesdames Fred Wanlass, Jno. J. Shumway, M. M. Leavitt, Cooper Haflield and Miss Ida Jolly. Tho program was musical, i Subject Wagner. . A sketch of jhiR life was given by Mas. Ursel Rose and a sketch of the opera Parsival, written by Mrs. Mos-iah Mos-iah Evans, was road by Mrs. M. D. Evans. Mrs. Stephen Longstroth gave reminiscences of Mexico and Miss Ida Jolly played a piano solo from Wagner. Wag-ner. The committee reported that an averago of 85 was necessary necess-ary to entitlo students to tho college course offered by tho Club. Delicious refreshments were served. Dccomber 1st the Club meets -at the home of Mrs. .1. M. Fraucke and the program outlined is as follows: Subject Longfellow. Sketch -Mrs. W. .J. Fife. Poetry Mrs. .Stophon Longstroth. |
