Ho confessed to hiding J1 the money in Preston's barn and later told Mr. Snook where ho could find it. M At Tromont last Saturday morning a man by the name of John Harden attempted to assault a 5 -year old girl and was prevented from accomplishing his dasterdly act by tho inter-' t feronco of tho girls' father. Ho was arrested by Marshal 'H J. A. Mortonseu and had a hearing before Justico Capwoll tho same day. His bonds wero placed at $500 and as ho was unablo to secure bonsmen, he was placed in tho Garland City bastilo for safo keeping. Sun- day morning ho was taken to tho county jail at Brigham to await tho action of tho District Court. Nick Peterson, who resides southwest of Tremonton, had a hearing in Justice Burdott Smith's court Tuesday on a complaint filed by J i m m i o Honmaru, a Jap, charging de-fendont de-fendont with assault of battery. Defendant plead guilty and was lined $20, which he paid. - A. J. Myer brought action in Justico W. II. Capwell's court at Tremonton Tuesday against tlimmio Honmaru, a Jap, charg-ing charg-ing him with u sing deadly H weapons with tho intent to kill. Plaintiff withdrew tho charge and tho case was dismissed at tho cost of tho complinant. |
