Show Deweyvs!leB Our 4th of July celebration July 5th was a very successful success-ful event. Tho usual 4th of July doings were carried out in line stylo beginning with the daybreak salute and the hoisting hoist-ing of the Stars and Stripes at sunrise. At 10a. m. an excellent program was carried out at tho hall and tho children were given a grand free dance1 from 1 to 55 p. m. Afternoon sports of all kinds were indulged in and a game of ball played between Dowovville and IToneyville. Tho game, howevor, was not finished owing to Claronec Hun-sakor Hun-sakor of tho Houoy 0 having sustained a sprained ankle. Honey was ahead. A host of visitors from surrounding towns came here to celebrate. In tho evening a grand ball was given. Miss Annie Gamier is visiting relatives in Ogdon. Mr. and Mrs. J. E. Chidester, Mrs. Olive Hunter and Miss Dorthy Burbank of the Curlew Valley wore horo for tho 4th. A fino 10-pound girl baby was born Tuesday to tho wifo ofj Silas Marble. Mother and child doing nicoly. |
