Sheriff Powers has received n tolcgram stntlng that there is a race war In progress at Wllmcr, a smnll lumber town, twenty-four, miles west ot Mobile, on tho Mobllo, Jackson Jack-son & Kansas City railway, and that several whites and blacks havo been killed. Tho trouble was begun by nn unknown un-known negro shooting Into tho houses of tho employees of A. V. Prlnglo, a largo turpentine operator nt Wllmer. Mr. Prlnglo nttcniptcd to go for help and was shot In tho hnnd by tho negro.
