Stone, of the Brotherhood of Locomotive Englneors, referring to tho various effects of the railroad rato bill, said: "Under tho provisions of tho law, offlcors ot railroad labor organizations aro deprived of freo transportation which thoy havo heretofore enjoyed. There aro flvo railroad labor organizations, organiza-tions, namely, tho Brotherhood ot Locomotlvo Engineers, tho Brotherhood Brother-hood of Locomotlvo Firemen, the Railroad Rail-road Trainmen, tho Order of Railroad Conductors, and tho Order of Railroad Rail-road Tolegraphors. "A consorvatlvo estimate of tho amount of faro which our officers will havo to pay nfter January 1, 1907, whon tho law goes Into oporatlon, Is $5,000 for each organization, making a total of $25,000 n year which tho railroads will get from railroad labor organizations whon their ofllcors aro on ofllcial business' |
