To-day the Rivcrstdo boys aro booked for a friendly game at the Athletic Park with our famous nine and the followine Saturday, Sept. 1st, tho baso ball boys of Malad are coming to town to cross bats with tho champions of Box Elder County on their homo plate. Malad claims to havo a good baso ball team and this game will, no doubt, bo a genulno treat. On Sept. 2nd, Garland is booked for Lagoon In a niatqhed game with the Bountiful Braves, who hold tho championship cham-pionship of Davis County. Labor Day comes on tho next day, Mouday Supt. 9, and arrangements havo bocn mado for a graud old time at the famous Lagoon resort. Tho management Is working with the O S L to give excursion rates ou that ,dato. It 1s tho closing day of the season for the resort and a fine program pro-gram is being arranged. A special fca. turoofthe dayJs program is a big baso i ball contest of two rousing games between be-tween the champions of Box Elder and the champions of Ej.yvla County. The outcome of this contest will be watched with much Interest. Thu closiug game of tho season will be a matched game between our boys and the Malad team at Malad City, Saturday Sat-urday Sept. 9th. |
