Show Dreadsd diphtheria has again made its appearance in Provo. The little 3-year-old son of Henry Harrison, proprietor pro-prietor of Jthe Eureka saloon, is down with the disease. It was taken ..in time and the little one has the best of medical and other care and it is believed be-lieved that the attack will be conquered. con-quered. Gbeat preparations are on for the closing exercises of the B. Y. academy. The school closes for the summer vacation va-cation next week. Lige Cox, the barber, hung crape on the door of his shop this forenoon and beneath it a card bearing these words: "Dead, But Still I Live." The cause of it all is that Lige's wife left him this morning. The Eflie Ellsler company went through to Salt Lake today on R. G. W. No. 1. The new stake tabernacle organ did not reach Provo today, although it was shipped from the factory in time to have reached here a week ago, it it had come direct. As a consequence of the delay is is neceosary to postpone the concert until one evening next week. This evening, in lieu of the concert con-cert some short lectures interspersed with musical selections will be giyen; No admission fee will be charged. |
