Show SEXUAL SINS. Parties Charted With Them Brought Before Be-fore the V. S. Commissioner, Commissioner Dudley's attention was last evening occupied for some con siderable time with criminal matters. Deputy Marshal Henry arrested and brought before the commissioner Wm. Ashworth of this city charged with unlawful un-lawful cohabitation. Mr. Ashworth practically waived exanination and was held to await the action of the grand jury in $300 bonds. Emma Ashworth, the alleged plural wife was also held in $300 bonds. Another case before the commissioner commis-sioner was one sent down from Commissioner Com-missioner Greenman's court Salt Lake city. Alfred L. Ely is a young doctor praciicing m juuiara county wiia headquarters at Oasis. He '.has a wife living in Salt Lake city with whom he has not lived for eight or ten years. She it was who swore to the complaint accusing him of adultery for which the doctor was arrested. Tessie Wegge-land Wegge-land has been living in Oasis only some six or eight months She went down there from Salt Lake and was married there, her husband being from Salt Lake. She has never lived with her husband, A child that was born shortly after the marriage has since died. Mrs. Weggeland is accused of being a partner in Dr. Ely's crimes. Deputy Marshal S.F.Mount arrested the couple. They waiyed examination. The doctor slept over night in jail, but the woman was allowed to go on her own recognizance. Today they each gave bonds in the sum of $400. and nothing more will be heard of their case until the grand jury investigates it |
