Show Provo Choir Reunion. No one can properly imagine the true picture of merriment, eociabihty and genuine pleasure that was acted out and indulged in at the opera bouse last evening, unless they had been fortunate for-tunate enousrh to have been present at the Provo Choir reunion, and entered into the spirit of the occasion. Every moment seemed to bring a new theme for enjoyment, and one was as highly entertained by watching the older people peo-ple and others who had Dot been out for years, joining in the lively quad-rills, quad-rills, as by realizing the dancing themselves. them-selves. The guests were summoned to tbe Cosmopolitan hotel, at about 10:30, where an elegant banquet, was spread, and seryed by a" corps of beautiful maidens, under the supeivision of Mrs. Cornelia Clayton, Mrs. Wilmoth White and Mr. It. E. Jones. Two hundred and twenty-seven guests were served at the banquet, ana notwithstanding notwith-standing the large number, all received personal attention in such a pleasing manner that each one seemed the guest of the evening. Another pleasing and beautiful feature, fea-ture, was the number of happy bridal couples present, and owing to tbe fact that, so man) members ci the choir had entered the holy bonds of late, and also being the time for the annual choir reunion, this enjoyable en-joyable affair was agitated and undertaken, and the wonderful success that attained it, tells how eagerly and joyfully it was received by the public. The bridal couples were Dr. and Mrs. W. 11. Pike, Mr. and Mrs. Ed. Young, Mr. and Mrs. S. Brown and Mr. and Mrs. George Clark. The music furnished was something novel in the extreme, so many musicians musi-cians being present for the occasion. Among those who mounted the band stand and played "ye good old tunes" were Mr. C. D. Glazier, W. H. Dusenberry , D. A. Swan, Herman Knudsen, the Christensen orchestra, S. Jepperson and many others, all taking turnB and making a pleasure out of the performing. Great credit is due H. E. Giles, Brig Smoot, R. E. Jones and all the members mem-bers of the choir who assisted in thi3 notable event. |
