F. S. Bichakds, Ch'n. Ok Monday Chairman W. II. King, of the People's Party Central Committee Commit-tee for Utah County, met Judge .1. D. Jones, chairman of the Liberal Central Cent-ral Committee for this county, and made a proposition to the effect that he would sign a joint call for a mas meeting of the voters of both parties, at which the question of disbanding both Peolep's and Liberal parties, and dividing upon national lines, .would be l9ft to the vote of the m feting. Judge Jones very respectfully declined, de-clined, but modestly asked Mr. King to call a meeting of the People's party irst, and then he would decide. This proposition, of course, v as not entertained. enter-tained. In conversation with a Dispatch Dis-patch reporter, Mr. King says some action regarding the matter will be taken on Wednesday next, at the meeting of the Territorial Central Committee of the People's party, the call for which is published in this issue. |
