The knives caught i his clothes and tore them from the j neck clear off him. The left arm was I caught also and terribiy lacerated, and j the fingers were cutoff, leaving the i thick part of the hand. The child was brought into town, and placed under the care of Dr. Bickford, who dressed the injuries, removing parts of the bones left. The doctor thinks that he will f-ave the thick part of the hand. The little fellow suffered very little pain, as the nerves of the hand were paralysed, and it will take several hours liefore the reaction sets in. The boy was placed under chloroform while under-1 going the operation! I ! |
