In a recent issue it statea that but 75 persons per-sons were present at the rally held here last Saturday evening at which Judge King and Hon. S. R. Thurmau spoke. Conservative republicans who were present were compelled to nod their heads frequently in assent to the logical reasoning of tlie speakers, and the En quirer may be aware that converts were .made and many doubtfuls turned. Republicans hereabouts are not at all pleased with their legislative ticket. Simons, Booth and Graham are especially es-pecially distasteful to tueni. It seems likely that there will be a wholesale scratching of their names on election day. Some of the delegates who at-tenaed at-tenaed the Provo conyentlon assert that Simons received hio nomination through a little 'piece of trickery manipulated man-ipulated by hmifcelf. They positively refuse to support him and would no vote at the convention.
