Show ERVIN A. WILSON, Democratic Xommoe for Judge of tho "Fourth District. Ervin A. Wilson w:.s horn in 185G in Utah county, where most of his life has been spent. He worked on hia fathers rarai until grown, except when attending attend-ing school. Was educated at the Tim-nanogos Tim-nanogos University, the Deseret and rho B. Y- Academy, graduating from the latter institution in 1880. He began be-gan the study of law in 18S2 and was admitted to the barin 1SS9; had thoroughly thor-oughly read mor than twenty-five volumes before applying for admisbion. Was admitted to the bar of the Supreme Su-preme court in 1S94. In 1S89 he formed a partnership with J. E. Booth, and the firm of Booth & Wilson coutinued until November of last year; since then Mr. Wilson has been associated as-sociated with S. A. King. He now has a large and growing practice. Mr, Wilson taught school tor Beveral years and was superintendent of schools of Utah county for four years and of Provo city for three years. Was elected a member of the board ot education ed-ucation of Provo last fall over J. E. Booth, the republican nominee, in a strong republican ward. Was chosbn president of that board last January, which position he now holds. Was appointed one of the regents of university univer-sity of Utah by Governor West in 1894. Held the office of alderman and justice of the peace in Spnnish Fork before removing to Provo, fiom 1885 to 1S8S. Mr. Wilson is a deservedly popular man, not because ot his possessions or of any high social calling, but because of actual merit and sterling integrity. He is a natural as well as sholastic lawyer, in which respect he io rated greatly beyond his opponent, and deserves de-serves to, aB he undaubtedly will, be the people's choice almost by acclamation. |
