Show THE CITY DEMOCRATIC TICKET. From the first, the democrats have invited the people to compare the personnel of the respective tickets. It they will do this dispassionately and it is men the voters want, they will vote the democratic ticket straight. In the nomination of the city t'eket the primaries have kept the idea of men ever before them. At the head of the city ticket stands the incorruptble old-timer, Joseph T. McEwan, for mayor. That gentleman has heretofore Eerved the city in the capacity of councilman, and his record is such, for ability and economy, that hundreds of republican voters.have expressed ex-pressed their determination to vote tor him. Joseph T. McEwan will be the next mayor of Provo. S. W. Sharp for marshal has never been tried in office, in this territory, but those who know him know that he is a man of ability and integrity, Provo's next marshal will b S. W. Sharp. For the position of city recorder, re-corder, the democrats have named the winning man in the person of John 8. Rollo. Mr. Rollo is a member of The Dispatch editorial staff, haying held the position of local editor for four years. He is a bright ar.d intelligent man, well-educated and will fill the office of recorder with honor to himself and satisfaction to nsMHWnMMMMaaJBaHlvaMMaaBMegHMEaaKa0iMBaHaBMaKaaMi the people. Mr. Rollo is also a great favorite with all elapses, and so highly eratiQed are the newspaper men and typos with the reccgnilion given the fraternity, that it is believed our friend across the block will, on election day, lead the entire Enauirer force to the polls and casta solid vote for John S. Rollo. M. L. Pratt for treasurer fits to a dot the great need of a good man for that office. He is a young man, untried un-tried in office, but those who know him best and know of his antecedents will vouch for his honesty His worst enemy, even if he had one, will have no fear of Mr. Pratt appropriating any funds left over by the present republican republi-can administration. Mr. Pratt's election elec-tion is assured. E. E. Corfman for Justice of the peace will supply a long-felt want. He is a law graduate, young, able, conscientious consci-entious and fearless.The voters will entrust en-trust the scales of justice to Mr. Corfman Corf-man on 2fovember-6th.
