Table for 12 Food and Wine Experience Fox School of Wine and The Market at Park City will host a Table for 12 food and wine experience from 6:30-7:45 p.m. on Thursday, May 16, at the Market, 1500 Snow Creek Drive. Voices of Grief: ‘Honoring the Sacred Journey’ CONNECT Summit County, a nonprofit that raises awareness of mental health issues, will host a free screening of Kathy Sparnins’ documentary “Voices of Grief: Honoring the Sacred Journey,” not rated, at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday, May 16, at the Park City Library’s Jim Santy Auditorium, 1255 Park Ave. The award-winning documentary examines the different ways people deal with grief. Park City Wine Club Cruise Party Park City Wine Club is planning a cruise in southern France, and is inviting wine-lovers ages 21 and older to learn more. Family Mental Health Support Groups CONNECT, a nonprofit that raises awareness of mental health issues, hosts a parents family and friends support group from noon to 1:30 p.m. on the second Tuesday of the month and at noon on the second Thursday of the month at the Blair Education Center at the Park City Hospital, 900 Round Valley Drive. CONNECT also hosts at support group for parents and guardians of school-age youth from 4-5 p.m. on the second Thursday of the month at Parley’s Park Elementary School Counseling Center, 4600 Silver Springs Drive. In addition, Connect Summit County hosts a family mental health peer support group at 6:15 p.m. every last Tuesday of the month at the Park City Library, 1255 Park Ave. The sessions are free and open to the public. NAMI Family Support Group NAMI (National Alliance on Mental Illness) offers a free Family Support Group in Wasatch-Summit Counties for family members who have a loved one struggling with mental health concerns, including anxiety and/or depression as well as bipolar disorder, schizophrenia, etc. The group currently meets from 6-7:30 p.m. on the second and fourth Tuesday in the month of May, but will change to the first and third Tuesday of each month starting in June. Eating Disorders Group An eating disorders group will meet at 4 p.m. every Monday at the Dell Center, 1912 Sidewinder Drive, Suite 213. This group covers topics relevant to all people struggling with any type of disordered eating. Some topics include, but are not limited to; intuitive eating, body image, emotional eating, triggers and coping skills, mindfulness, and self esteem.
