Show A16 Castle Valley Review, March 2009 EVENTS Community Theater Presents Nunsense The Emery County Community Theater will present Dan Goggin’s Nunsense at the Emery High Auditorium March 12-14 at 7 p.m. with a matinee on March 14 at 1 p.m. Ticket prices are $5 per person at the door. The community theater first performed Nunsense in March 1999 and will revisit the musical comedy 10 years later. Nunsense follows the Little Sisters of Hoboken, who have had a disaster at their convent in Hoboken, N.J. Their cook, Sister Julia (Child of God), served poisoned soup and nearly all of the order of nuns died of botulism. The remaining sisters are putting on a benefit to raise enough money to bury the last four of the 52 dead nuns. The play Nunsense follows their hazardous journey to raise funds through a variety of bad luck and funny incidents. The play is directed by Ann Mur- doch and stars Linda Daley as Mother Superior, Tanie Worthen as Sister Hubert, Loyette Holdaway as Sister Robert Ann, Natalie Gardner as Sister Amnesia and Tricia Erickson as Sister Leo. Elizabeth Fillmore plays Sister Melody and Annell Jackson plays Sister Harmony, the piano playing nuns. Nadine Hinkins is in charge of choreography and Val Jenkins helped build the sets. The St. George Musical Theater provided props for the play.
