At the tournament on Feb. 25, Brockbank took over a third of all of the awards. Individual speaking awards went to Bri Perkins, Kourtney Beus, Hailey Smith, Elise Wilson, Marissa Bradford, Kaylee Hudson, Kennedy Hopkins, Sara White and Bailee Rasmussen. Team awards went to Bri Perkins and Elise Wilson, second place; Sally Hansen and Bailee Rasmussen, fourth place; Sara White and Kennedy Hopkins, third place; and Marissa Bradford and Kaylee Hudson first place. The teams will continue on to the statewide debate tournament in April. Courtesy photo TALKING SCIENCE: This year the sixth-graders at Brockbank participated in a science fair. Students learned about the scientific process and were then challenged to go home and conduct an experiment that answered a scientific question. The students worked hard on their projects. The sixth-grade classes took turns looking at each other's projects and asking questions. The projects were on display in the hallway for a week. Younger students have enjoyed viewing the projects and are excited to come up with ideas for when they get to participate in the science fair.
