Show Sentinel Guardian of Your Community News WEDNESDAY, MARCH 3, 2010 • A9 February rodeo results announced SF rec notes The Diamond Fork Riding Club recently announced the results of their February Winter Series buckaroo rodeo, held Feb. 20,2010. Spanish Fork Parks and Recreation is once again offering Urban Fishing. Urban fishing is open to youth ages 6-13. This is an opportunity for youth that have the desire to learn how to fish but have not had that opportunity yet. Urban fishing is a joint venture between Spanish Fork Parks and Recreation and the Division of Wildlife Resources. The program focus is teaching youth about fishing and aquatic resources. Program meets once a week for six weeks beginning on Mar. 30, 2010. Early Registration fee $10 ends Mar. 18, 2010; after that, registration will be $15. Players may register now through the end of March. Soccer will be offered by Grade for boys and girls K-8th grade. teresting and latest forms of aerobic exercise which include: hip hop, step, pump, Latin, kickboxing, yoga and Pilates. Women's Zumba Salem Recreation will continue to offer Zumba class in the mornings M/ W/F from 6:30-7:20 a.m. for four weeks at the Salem Community Center . Zumba classes incorporates a combination of the most in- Little Kickers Soccer This is soccer for 4- and 5-year-old boys and girls that prepares them for organized youth soccer in a fun and non-threatening environment. Recreation coordinators teach and work drills with child and parent that assists the grown and development of beginning soccer players. This fourweek program will beginning April 15, 2010 and run to May 11, 2010. Sessions will be held twice a week on Tuesday and Thursday evenings from 6-7 p.m. Registration is $5 and includes a Little Kickers t-shirt. Early registration deadline is April 5, 2010. Urban Fishing The Youth Fishing Program is open to youth grades 3-6. This program is a joint venture between Salem Recreation and the Division of Wildlife Resource. The program focuses on educating youth about fishing and aquatic resources. The first class will be held April 7,2010 at the downtown ball park. All other classes will be held at Salem Pond. Registration is $15 if paid before March 22, 2010. Each participant should provide their own pole. This is a six-week program. Classes will be held 6:308:30 p.m., SFHS North Gym. Beginning-Intermediate class (grades 6-12) will be held on Thursdays beginning March 18. Advanced class (HS and up) will be held Tuesdays beginning March 16. Program will include eight, two-hour sessions.
