Show B2 • WEDNESDAY, DECEMBER 16, 2009 Guardian of Your Community Neips Salem Hills Reflections competition a success With a total 529 entries, Salem Hills High students took Reflections competition seriously this year. Their teachers took it seriously, too. Many of them made it part of their curriculum. Competition was especially tight in choreography, literature, visual arts and photography, but entries were submitted in all contest categories, including film/video, the-' ater, and 3-D art. Local businesses also jumped on the bandwagon. The contest wouldn't have been as successful without them. Thank you Central Bank Payson, Crisp's Grocery Store, Dalton's Restaurant, Diamond Grill, Gandolfo'sSalem,Kiwanis Club Payson, Macey's, Papa Kelsey's, Salem Chevron, Temkin International, Inc. and Urban Retreat Hair Salon. The five top entries in each category are now being judged at the Council level. Look for some of them moving on to district, state and even national level. Salem Hills wishes all of these entrants the best of success. Congratulations to all who entered. There were 33 Honorable Mentions which vied very closely with the five winning entries in each category. Selecting so few proved to be an extremely difficult job for the judges. 1 am still and 1 sigh. calm breathe slow inhale, exhale, Inspire 1 sway as 1 extend my arm, lengthen my arm, as head bows and neck turns And 1 begin to dance.
