This program was developed to recognize outstanding teachers who have gone the extra mile, not only in the classroom, but who have also made a significant impact on many young lives. Nohemi has driven a School bus for Nebo School District for 10 years. She is a very caring conscientious, dependable and safe driver. We know that we can rely on her to do whatever she can to help. She is always willing to make phone calls or visit Spanish speaking people that we need to communicate with. She is always cheerful and has a wonderful attitude. On Sept 8, 2008 as she was picking up a stop in Genola she observed a large truck coming from behind, weaving around and coming too fast. She got the students on and hurried on to avoid Nohemi Thompson a collision. The truck was carrying dead animals and her description was that she "saw pigsfly"literally, when the truck braked ... Nohemi was raised in Mexico City, and now lives in Payson. Since coming to the US and to our department she has worked very hard and has become an American Citizen. We were all very proud and happy when she accomplished this goal and dream. She has two sons Joey and Kevin, two daughters, Anna and Caroline and five grandchildren. Senior Sarah Johnson is the daughter of Mark and Brenda Johnson of Spanish Fork. With a 4.0 GPA, Sarah enjoys sign language, marching band and concert band. She plays the flute and is drum major for the marching band. Sarah is also a member of NHS, Key Club and Spanish Club. On a road trip, she would go to Louisiana and would listen to Disney music.
