Elder Sterling Biggs, son of David and Virginia Biggs, picked up Elder Cody Shepherd, son of Jerry Lee and Cindy Shepherd, at the airport just days before he retuned home. Battle of the Bands to be held Obituary Heather Campbell STAFF WRITER Tina Rae Kitchen Boothe Brothers Music will sponsor their 7th Annual Battle of the Bands Contest on July 21. The contest will feature a variety of different bands, who come from all over, for the opportunity to showcase their music and compete in the event. According Boothe Brothers, Curt Gordon, the event, "is a good opportunity to come and see new talent making their first public appearances and at the same time have the opportunity to listen to returning bands many of which are seasoned players already doing gigs of their own." Gordon says the event, "rakes the scene for new bands not quite ready to do their own shows," and gives them an opportunity to see what the crowd thinks, Gordon also noted that many of these bands write and perform their Steve Hardman / Spanish Fork News own music. Tina was a very bright, intelligent and pretty girl. She had a sense of humor that few people possess. She would help anyone anyway that she could. She loved life and she was a wonderful cook. She enjoyed watching movies, Taco Bell, playing games and being with friends. Tina experienced much loss in her young life and we take comfort in knowing that her heart is finally at peace. She will be missed deeply by all that knew and loved her. |
