When I do try I keep thinking, "Oh, I should be doing this or that." I see people going to the public library checking out several books at a time. In fact, when I was there one time I saw a couple of ladies who came in with an apple box filled with books that they were returning and I remember wondering "Where do they get the time to read all those books?" Well, this past month or so I have been on a reading marathon. I'm about 15 or so years behind many of you who have already read the series, The Work and the Glory. I think the first printing was around 1990. There are a few in our family who have read the whole series and we have a granddaughter who is rereading them. After I had seen the three movies that were made, I decided I had to find out what happened and so I have been reading the remaining six books. I just finished the last one a couple of nights ago at 1 a.m. I told those in our family who have read them not to tell me what happened. I wanted tofindout for myself. Have you ever been tempted to read the last page before you're finished with a book to find out what the ending is? I resisted though, and I really enjoyed the series.
