Show -N E W S- Spanish Fork Covering what matters most WEDNESDAY, JUNE 27, 2007 • A7 Lake Shore Homecoming 2007 Lake Shore Homecoming was. held on June 15-16, 2007. The theme this year was "Lake Shore's Childhood Memories." The celebration started Friday night with a dinner, entertainment and announcement of the couple of the year. The couple of the year is Kim and Thurza Gordon. A tribute was given .by their daughter, Jenny King. Kim and Thurza are the parents of one girl, Jenny, and five boys, Jake, Justin, Josh, Jeff and Jace. Congratulations to them and a big thanks for the contribution they make to this great community. Two other special citizens from Lake Shore were paid tribute for their outstanding service are Mattie Comaby and Vay Huff. Saturday events started with a flag ceremony and the children's parade, followed by games, a boutique, a bake sale, lunch and a program. Thanks to all those who helped to make it such a successful event. The king and queen are Gracie Sorensen and Maklain Shepherd. The Lake Shore First Ward king and queen are Aly Scheetz and Garyn Jensen. The Lake Shore Second Ward king and queen are Jade Rindlisbacher and Mitchell Anderson. SWEET HOME ALABAMA: Friday night's entertainment was given by Lake Shore's youth. CHOO CHOO! Friday night's activity was a little train ride pulled by a John Deere tractor. OUTSTANDING: Pictured on the right is Vay Huff who was given the Outstanding Service award. AURORA AND THE PRINCE: Above, Aly Scheetz and Garyn Jensen were the Lake Shore First Ward's queen and king. SERVICE: Pictured on the right is Mattie Cornaby who was also given the Outstanding Service award.
