They led by as many as 13 at 45-32 at the 17:10 mark of the second half. The Bison came back behind 19 second-half points from guard Ben Woodside, who finished with a gamehigh 24 points on 9-of-21 shooting. Winkelman finished with 17 points and seven rebounds, while Andre Smith had 11 points and 10 rebounds. Coach Dick Hunsaker summed up the game best, "Terrific game. Hard fought, excellent play on both ends of the court."
