A ruling to this effect was given today by Judge Aldon J. Anderson, Third District Court, in the case of six men who were arrested and detained May 23. The county attorneys office today outlined procedures clubs must follow to obtain county commission approval to dispense liquor. The dub must obtain a letter from the Salt Lake County Sheriffs Office stating that it conforms to all laws and one from the Salt Lake County Planning and Zoning Department showing the dub b not in violation of zoning ordinances. These letters are presented to the County Commission for approval and a third letter, all to be presented to the State Liquor Control Commission. The new method was used by the Hidden Valley Country Club today in gaining County Commission approval for a license. The liquor Control Commission will take the letters into consideration in studying liquor license applications. County commissioners said they will not approve the sale of in restaurants in the county until an ordinance covering that phase of the new liquor raws is completed.
