The Lock Shop is still temporarily in Building 1268 and service is available Monday through Friday, 6:30 a.m. to 8:30 a.m. The lock shop will move Aug. 24 to Building 589 South and start customer service hours in the new location. For more information, call Customer Service at 777-1856. C Medical clinics to close at noon Friday The 75th Medical Group clinics will close at noon on Friday for a group function. ALEX R. Scott Stapp. Wardleigh Road to close this weekend ol, Scott Stapp has been in the Air Force since 1986, but it has been a while since he has seen the service's classic fighter jet in action. Stapp officially took over command of Hill's 508th Aerospace Sustainment Wing and 84th Combat Sustainment Wing in a ceremony Aug. 11 along the base flight line. The dual wing develops and performs structural and mechanical upgrades to keep most of the Air Force's domestically based fleet of F-16 and A-10 aircraft flying. See COMMAND I page 8 ALEX R. Steam outage set for multiple buildings There will be a steam outage at the Building 260 Boiler Plant, Aug. 21 through Aug. 23 start at midnight Aug " 20 and continuing through midnight Aug 23 in order to conduct annual repairs and maintenance. The following buildings will be affected: Buildings 100,133,134, 141,142,146,150,152,180, 214,220,216,230,233,236, 237, 238, 256, 257, 265, 279, 287, 295, 503, 505, 507, 508, 509,510,511,512,514,515, 575, 576, 577, 578, 589, 590, 591,592,593,594,596,597, 589 and 260. Volunteers sought for 75th FSS campout Volunteers are being asked to help with the Family Overnight Campout, on Aug. 21 at Centennial Park. Five volunteers are needed to help serve food (hot dogs, chips and creamies) 7:30 p.m.9 p.m. (They will be required to take a brief, provided foodhandlers course.) Three are needed to assist with children's crafts (making newspaper hats) 6 p.m,-8 p.m. Two are needed to help with children's sports (kickball, etc.) 7p.m.-8 p.m. Five are needed to help with s'mores (help break apart graham crackers and chocolate, put marshmallows on marshmallow trees and control crowd and children around fire-pans). Two are needed to pass out "glow" necklaces, 8:30 p.m.9:30 p.m. Two are needed to assist with trash pick-up, 8p.rn.-10 p.m. Three are needed to help with clean-up and teardown at 7 a.m. on Aug. 22. Andrew Busch, Ogden Air Logistics Center commander, was officially promoted to the rank of major general in a ceremony held at the Hill Aerospace Museum on Aug. 7. The general officer was promoted by Lt. Gen. Loren M. Reno, deputy chief of staff for Logistics, Installations and Mission Support at Headquarters U.S. Air Force in Washington, D.C., and was joined by local community leaders such as Layton City Mayor Steve Curtis and Clearfield City Mayor Don Wood.
