The OVBA has been steadily growing, and now boasts a membership of 97 different local businesses. The cover of the third Ogden Valley map. The OVBA completed production of its third Ogden Valley Area Map and Business Guide for distribution to visitors. It is a fully detailed street map with business locations of current OVBA members, points of interest, and public land ownership. The map covers an area that stretches from the Morgan County line along the south side of the Valley, northward to the Cache County line, eastward to Causey Reservoir, and northwestward to North Fork Park. Weber County and the U.S. Forest Service assisted with the creation of the map. Visit the constantly updated OVBA website at www.ovba.org for information about the community and local businesses. The “Valley Guide” link displays the area map. The “Activities” link presents the OGDEN VALLEY NEWS community calendar of events. Links with Weber Pathways, Square Foot Gardening, Weber County, Ogden Weber Chamber of Commerce, and the Snowbasin Alpine Team can also be found on the home page. Additional community information is also available on the web site such as local events, and weather/snow/ski reports. Residents who want to do business in the Valley may use the menu of business categories to locate local products and services. In keeping with the expanding variety of products and services offered in Ogden Valley, the OVBA web site will be adding new business categories as membership increases. If unsure which category to browse in, visitors may click on the “List of Members” link on the home page to see an alphabetical list of business names that are linked directly to their company page. Returning to the home page is as easy as clicking on the OVBA logo. Benefits of being a member of the OVBA include: - networking with other business owners - reduced rates for effective group advertising - information exchange regarding issues that affect business in the Valley - global exposure through the OVBA web site The next OVBA monthly meeting will be held at the Lakeside Village Clubhouse located at 6486 East Highway 39 in Huntsville at 7:00 p.m. on March 10. Local business owners are invited to attend to learn more about OVBA’s objectives and the benefits of membership.
