The general buck deer hunt on the Salt Lake Ranger District will occur in the Stansbury Mountains (Tooele County) and in Davis County. Winter gates for the Skyline Drive in Davis County are scheduled to remain open through the hunt with a closing date set for November 1. However, forest users should be aware that these gates could close early for safety reasons due to inclement weather conditions. Hunters and other users may be asked to leave these areas in the event of an early closure. The gates for the Skyline Drive are located at the junctions of Farmington Canyon and Ward Canyon. There are no winter gates or closures in the Stansbury Mountains. The Salt Lake Ranger District appreciates the public’s cooperation and encourages everyone to be safe this hunting season. Be sure to wear hunter orange or blaze orange clothing while in the forest during the hunt. In all of the above campgrounds, please remember to pack-out what you pack-in. Check with your local Forest Service office that manages the area you are planning to visit to obtain current road, trail, campground, and weather conditions before you leave. Have a great hunt, and be extra careful. This chart shows Wolf Creek Water’s rates compared with other area water companies. Gage Froerer & Assoc.
