Show Volume IX Issue I THE OGDEN VALLEY NEWS Page 5 October 15, 2003 Ogden Valley Clinic Welcomes New Staff Member The Ogden Valley Clinic is pleased to announce the addition of Elizabeth Anderson to their staff. Anderson states, “I am happy to be back in Utah and working in Family Practice where I can utilize my training and former experience to help individuals and families as a whole.” Anderson says she is interested in helping educate patients concerning prevention of disease through proper exercise and diet, Elizabeth Anderson as well as management of disease. “I believe prevention is the ‘best medicine,’ and that it requires medical personnel working together with the patient to achieve this goal. Working in Family Practice allows me to follow my patients’ care long term.” Anderson also says that she enjoys working with Dr. West in both the Ogden and Ogden Valley areas. Elisabeth Anderson was raised in Salt Lake City, where she attended the University of Utah. While there, she received her Emergency Medical Technician training and BS in physical education. After attending the University of Utah, she worked as a Certified Athletic Trainer at a high school in northern California. She later moved to Tucson, Arizona where she worked as a personal trainer. Here she also worked with area Physical Therapists. Anderson went on to earn her Master of Physician Assistant degree at Loma Linda University, where clinical rotations included Family Practice, Internal Medicine, OB/GYN, Emergency Medicine, General Surgery, Psychiatry, Pediatrics, Geriatrics, Urgent Care, and Orthopaedics. Upon graduation, Ms. Anderson was certified by the NCCPA and worked with two Orthopaedic Surgeons in private practice, one who specialized in sports medicine and is involved with both the National and Olympic figure skating organization, and the other surgeon who specialized in joint replacement and was involved in the study of ceramic hips. Anderson says she and her son are delighted to be living in Ogden Valley where they can water and snow ski, mountain bike, read, and go camping. Located in the Eats of Eden Plaza at 2595 N Highway 162 in Eden, the Ogden Valley Clinic is part of the Ogden Clinic Professional Corporation. McCall Christensen Joins Eden’s Wells Fargo Team McCall Christensen has joined the Wells Fargo Bank team in Eden. She and her husband Tyler have lived in Liberty for the past three years. Christensen is originally from Layton, but moved to the Valley when she married Tyler. The Christensens have a twoyear-old son named Gus. Christensen states that she loves living in the Valley, and her family and she enjoys camping and the outdoors. Her favorite hobby is riding horses, which is how she and her husband met. In addition to a new position at Wells Fargo, McCall states that the rodeo environment is also in her future—her husband Tyler bull rides, and belongs to the Professional Rodeo cowboys Association (PRCA). McCall invites the community to come in and get acquainted.
