Tesch, son of Garth and Trudy Tesch of Liberty, served in the Chile Concepcion Mission. He spoke at the North Fork Ward on September 15. Obituaries Katherine Deyonne Allgier Walker HUNTSVILLE - Katherine Deyonne Allgier Walker, age 73, left for her new mission on Thursday, September 12, 2002, following a long and courageous battle with lymphoma. She was born November 11, 1928 to Fred Jr. and Floris Robinson Allgier. She spent her early years in Mountain Green, later moving to Layton, where she met and married Ray Sherwood Walker on May 4, 1946. Their marriage was later solemnized in the Salt Lake L.D.S. Temple. Ray and Deyonne moved to Ogden Valley where they have resided for the past 38 years. She was a devoted member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, giving a lifetime of service on both the ward and stake levels. Deyonne graduated from Weber State College and was a member of Phi Kappa Phi. She worked at HAFB as a computer systems analyst, retiring after 25 years of service. She then started a computer consulting business and wrote programs for law enforcement, utilities, and private companies. She instructed private computer classes and taught courses at IRS and DDO, while also serving as an adjunct professor at Weber State College in computer science. Deyonne loved her country and was dedicated to community service. Among many civic accomplishments, she served as chairperson of the East Huntsville Township committee, and Just Listed! She was instrumental in petitioning for change in Weber County Government. She was an Independent Party candidate for the Utah State Legislature. She is survived by her husband Ray, and daughters Carson (Jim) McKay, Raelene Walker and son Ray S. (Sandy) Walker II. She leaves ten loving grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. Funeral services were held Tuesday, September 17, 2002, at the Huntsville 2nd Ward, in Huntsville, at 11:00 a.m., conducted by Bishop Ray S. Walker II. Interment at the Huntsville Cemetery. Colleen Moore Shreeve Surrounded by the love of her family, Colleen Moore Shreeve peacefully passed away on Tuesday, September 10, 2002. Memories of this very special lady will live on in the hearts of her family and many friends. Colleen was the beloved wife of Wayne. She was a devoted mother to Jodi (Jeff) Riley, Zurich Switzerland; Greg (Susan) Shreeve, South Ogden; Becky Shreeve, Ogden; Chad Shreeve, South Ogden; and Staci (Tom) Weller, Seattle. She was also a wonderful grandmother to Blake, Sean, Brooke, Amy, Shannon, Elizabeth, Bryce and the forthcoming Alexander. Colleen’s passion for life infused those around her with her contagious enthusiasm. Everything was more exciting when viewed through Colleen’s eyes. The grandchildren loved coming to Grandma’s house because she was like one of them, dancing around the house, donning costumes, laughing, reading and playing. Always active, she loved golfing with her many friends, doing water aerobics at the gym, attending concerts and plays, and volunteering her time. Ever the social butterfly, she could talk to anyone and had an opinion about everything. An aura of exuberance always surrounded her. Colleen was born December 18, 1926 in Ogden to Dutch and Marion Moore. She grew up in Ogden, and graduated from Utah State University. On August 27, 1948 she married Price Reduced! the love of her life, Wayne, with whom she raised their five children. Devoted to her family, she found great joy in their activities together, such as water skiing, fishing and camping. Her dedication to children was also apparent in her 27 years of teaching in the Ogden City School District. She was active in the Stewart Rehabilitation Center Foundation, Arts International, Alturist Club, Golf City Ladies Association, AAUW, and Alpha Delta Kappa. Funeral services were held Saturday, September 14, 2002 at Leavitt’s Mortuary in Ogden. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Riley Family Scholarships, a fund established by her daughter and supported by Colleen to help young people who have overcome adversity to achieve personal success. Send condolences to family at www.leavittsmortuary.com Scott Manzel Budge Scott Manzel Budge, passed away Tuesday, September 10, 2002. He was born October 16, 1945, in Ogden, Utah, the son of Wallace R. and Josephine M. Budge. He married Diane Hogge July 2, 1969, in the Logan LDS Temple. He attended Weber County Schools, and was a graduate of Weber State. He received his Masters Degree from BYU. He served an LDS mission to Scotland. Scott taught Seminary in the Ogden Area for 32 years. As an active member, he served faithfully in various church callings. He enjoyed his service on the North Ogden Irrigation board. Scott’s greatest enjoyment came from farming with his boys, and fishing, boating and trap shooting with his family and friends. He loved being with his grandchildren. Scott and Diane are the parents of three sons, Aaron S. (Anita), Matthew (Trisha), and Michael W. (Brandi); and three daughters: Mindy, Amy, and Jessie. They are also the proud grandparents of Adam, Brady, and Sara. Scott is also survived by his siblings W. Don (Kaye), Provo; Thomas M. (Linda), Pleasant View; Nanette (Dean) Stimpson, Zanesville, Ohio; Laurene (John) Patterson, Grand Prairie, Texas; Jody Jackson, Antioch, California; and brother-in-law, William L. Soelberg, Pleasant View. He was proceeded in death by his parents, and his sister Charlene Soelberg. Funeral services were held Saturday, September 14, 2002 at the North Ogden Stake Center.
