You can find the rules on our website by visiting <www. for Season Pass Holders & Community webercountyutah.gov/Assessor/pre.php> During unprecedented times of public health and economic concern, Snowbasin Resort has introduced the following benefits for their season pass holders and community for the 2020 - 2021 season: 20% Renewal Discount or Free Lift Ticket: Due to the early closure of the 20192020 season to prevent the spread of COVID19, Snowbasin is providing a one-time 20% discount on season pass renewals for the 20202021 season. To be eligible, guests must have had a season pass during the 2019-2020 season. Those who choose not to renew by Nov. 25 will have a single-day ticket loaded to their pass for next winter. Non-transferrable & blackout dates apply. Pass Protection Program: Provides assurance to protect season pass holders from future personal or community hardships. Covered events include a mandated resort closure, stay at home orders, personal injury, military service or pregnancy. Refunds are based on the amount of days skied and date of the request. Spring Sale Price Extension: Snowbasin has extended early-season rates featuring the guaranteed lowest price through the end of June. The popular payment plan is available to spread the cost into three easy payments. Prices increase July 1, 2020. Charitable Fund: Pass holders eligible for a renewal discount have the option to donate the discount amount to benefit each of the following organizations: GOAL Foundation, Davis Education Foundation and Trails Foundation Northern Utah. Snowbasin will also donate to these organizations. General Manager Davy Ratchford states, “Now more than ever, we appreciate the extraordinary Snowbasin community. We are pleased to offer new protection for all pass holders to address many of the questions and concerns around next winter in addition to a 20% renewal discount for pass holders with us last season. To provide added flexibility to those faced with financial hardship, we have also extended our spring sale through June.” The new “Pass Protection Program” provides refunds ranging from 20% to 80% based on the date of the request, type of event and amount of days skied. If Snowbasin is unable to operate during the 2020-2021 season, full refunds will be issued. For more information, visit <www. snowbasin.com/season-pass-commitment> Pass holders who renewed their season pass for the 2020-2021 season prior to May 13, 2020 will receive the 20% renewal discount as a refund. They are encouraged to visit Snowbasin.com by June 30 to select if they’d like to have the refund returned to their card or donate the amount to the charitable fund. If they do not make a selection it will automatically be processed as a refund to their card. Snowbasin continues to offer a no-interest payment plan to lock-in the current low price. It requires a 1/3 down payment, 1/3 paid on August 1 and the last third paid on October 31. The program does not add any additional fees and doesn’t require a credit check. Those utilizing the 20% renewal savings will have the discount amount spread across their three payments. Eligible guests were emailed a promotional code to utilize the 20% discount. They have until November 24, 2020 to utilize this discount, with expiration on Snowbasin’s anticipated opening day of November 25, 2020. Those that do not renew will receive a singleday lift ticket. Weber County Seeks Applicants to Fill Positions on Ogden Valley Planning Commission The Weber County Commissioners are taking applications to fill positions on the Ogden Valley Planning Commission. The Ogden Valley Planning Commission meets the 1st and 4th Tuesday of each month at 4:30 p.m. Special meetings are also scheduled throughout the year as needed. Please drop off your completed application, available at webercountyutah.gov or the Weber County Planning Division office located at 2380 Washington Blvd., Suite 240 in Ogden at the Weber Center. The Utah State Legislature passed a law in 2019 that requires the County Assessor to send a Residential Primary Declaration to property owners in certain situations. Most of you will not receive one. However, if you do, please go to www.webercountyutah.gov/Assessor/pre. php and submit the requested declaration online. The declaration is asking if you live in the home, if a long-term (more than six months) tenant lives in the home, or, if you use the If you receive a declaration from our office and you do not submit the requisite information, the law instructs us to remove the primary exemption tax rate from the property. This means the property tax will almost double. Yikes! So, if you receive a letter from us, please, submit the requested information online. Eccles Art Center Announces Exhibit, Plein Air Competitive Exhibit The Eccles Art Center, 2580 Jefferson, Ogden will exhibit featured paintings created “En Plein Air.” They will be featured June 5 thru June 27, 2020 in the Carriage House Gallery. A reception in association with Ogden’s Art Stroll and held within State COVID- 19 guidelines Friday, June 5 from 5:00 to 9:00 p.m. Awards will be posted at this reception, as well as online at <www. ogden4arts.org> For anyone still sheltering at home, virtual tours of these exhibits will be posted on the center’s website and social platforms: Facebook and Instagram. The EAC Plein Air exhibit is competitive; open to regional artists, professionals and amateurs, interested in create works outdoors, on-site not in a studio. The exhibit will include original works painted between May 26 through June 1, 2020 within the boundaries of Weber County. The Plein Air Competition boundaries were established for artists to cap- ture the historic architecture of Ogden and explore with paint the natural beauty of Weber County. Patrons and art collectors are invited to view these freshly painted works or add one to their private collection. Monetary awards will be presented for both the Plein Air Competition. Awards will be posted for the art stroll reception, shared on the art center web page and social media. The Eccles Art Center is pleased to be continuing the Plein Air Competition started by the Ogden Arts Festival. Sponsor Heather A. Hess Lindquist will share a select collection of original framed plein air works by previous Ogden Arts Festival purchase award winners.
