Work on North Ogden Divide Continues: Full closures announced for June 1 – June 27 Work on the North Ogden Divide began Monday, May 18. According to Weber County Engineer Gary Myers, “Currently, the only impact that should be felt is a one-lane closure that will start on the North Ogden side and move progressively east up the road. This is to install storm drain upgrades to mitigate danger from runoff water along and on the road. From June 1 thru June 27, the road will be closed from the parking lot at the top of the Divide, east to just past Chicken Creek. This closure is needed to safely construct the necessary retaining walls to retain the road and preserve the asphalt. This type of work requires large open excavation areas so this closure will safely protect the contractor and traveling public. We have coordinated with UDOT to confirm that the any work in Ogden Canyon will take place next year so the other two routes in and out of the valley will not be affected….” Utah’s Low Risk Phase What does it mean and what can you do?
