We needed a year off to let the loss sink in,” explained Ashley Cross, current OVBA Chair. This year’s tournament has special meaning for the members of the OVBA Board of Directors. In honor of Blair’s life and his contributions to the Ogden Valley Business Association, they have commissioned a custom bench that will be installed on Hole #14, Blair’s favorite spot, and the site where the Lierd family and their extended Wolf Creek family has already planted a blooming Cherry Blossom tree in his honor. The bench will feature fly fishing scenes, a dedication from the OVBA, and the Wolf Creek logo. Blair’s wife Brandi says, “Blair truly enjoyed being involved with the OVBA and was looking forward to serving as Chair and helping to grow the Association.” Brandi added, “Our family would like to thank the OVBA for recognizing him and hosting this year’s golf tournament in his memory. We know he’s smiling, and if his buddies and business associates don’t sign up and put together a team, you just may be cursed for all future golf tournaments!” For more information visit <www.ovba. org> Come Enjoy the Canyon All Ogden Valley CERT Members Invited to County Appreciation BBQ By Vickie McKenney Mark your calendars for Thursday, June 7 at 6:30 p.m. when Weber County is hosting its CERT appreciation BBQ at Fort Buenaventura in Ogden.
