Powell comments, “We created TrouBeliever Fest specifically to celebrate and give a stage home to singer-songwriters. For songwriters who also perform, the venue options until now have mainly been small clubs or house concerts. Anna and I are passionate about this music festival because it is a place where superstar troubadours, and their unknown but fiercely talented counterparts, can play to a festival-sized crowd and get the national attention that they deserve.” In addition to headliners Harris and Crowell, the lineup will include performances by David Pack’s Legends Live featuring David Pack, former lead singer of Ambrosia and best known for writing “Biggest Part of Me” and “You’re the Only Woman”; Richard Page, formerly of Mr. Mister/Ringo’s All Starr Band and writer of “Kyrie” and “Broken Wings”; Jim Peterik, founder/singer of Ides of March/ Year-end Grand Prize Drawing - Entries from all community drawings will be pooled into the grand-prize drawing. It is as simple as it sounds. The single mother will type in the condition(s) that she or her family member is experiencing, and a medical professional will then call, email, or video chat within an hour. The physicians can diagnose symptoms and prescribe the prescription they need to start feeling better. In addition, this service also includes: • Messaging with a specialist by a secure email. • Ability to talk to a counselor for support and problem resolution, along with a follow up. • Healthcare advocacy and RX discounts. Statistics show that nearly 70% of doctor office visits and emergency room visits are unnecessary. These visits could be resolved with a simple consultation with a doctor via phone or email. If it is a life-threatening or serious emergency, it is recommended that appropriate precautions be taken with a visit to the hospital or clinic as needed. Both The Ogden Valley Balloon Festival and 24/7 Physician On Call feel strongly about this. It is estimated that 17.2 million children in the United States are raised by single mothers who are struggling to make ends meet, and 3 million children in the United States are raised solely by their father. While 2.8 million children in the United States are living without a parent present in the home, medical care is something no child should be forced to go without. The current Chair of the Ogden Valley Balloon Festival, Terry Murphy, was a single mother. She says she worked three jobs at one time, just to keep her and her daughter’s life as normal as possible. Murphy has always had the dream to be able to give back to other single mothers who may be struggling to provide the necessities for their family. She understands the difficulties that come with being a single parent. Murphy wants to be able to take at least one worry off their shoulders by giving them the medical care they desperately need. Let’s Help Make This Possible! The Ogden Valley Balloon Festival wants to give these single mothers and children the medical care they deserve and need. The organization hopes to help at least 1,500 families with 24/7 Physician On Call subscriptions free of charge for the first year of service. Between August 17 and August 19, all donations raised will go towards families in need of medical care. Guardrail removal is currently taking place from the Huntsville side and heading southbound. Each of these activities will take place within existing lane closures, with one lane in each direction remaining open to traffic. While it may appear that no work is occurring in long stretches of Trapper’s Loop, the contractor and UDOT have determined that it’s in the best interest of the safety of the traveling public to maintain the one lane in each direction traffic configuration along the entire 11 miles of Trapper’s Loop, given the limited sight distance and curves along the highway Project Background - The Utah Department of Transportation will be improving 11 miles of SR. 167 (Trapper’s Loop) between Mountain Green and Huntsville through mid-October. Planned Improvements • Removal and replacement of existing asphalt • New guardrail along the corridor, with portions designed specifically to improve safety for motorcyclists • Center-running rumble strips What to Expect During Construction • Crews will be on site from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m., Monday thru Saturday. Night work is not anticipated. • Work will be completed in three phases: first northbound, then southbound, then the center lane. One lane of traffic will remain open in each direction. • Access to driveways and intersections will remain open, except momentarily when the milling or paving machines are passing directly across a driveway access.
