Rucker Blakeslee of Cold Sassy, Georgia, decides to wed a young woman three weeks after the death of his wife, his family and the entire town are quickly consumed by gossip. His fourteen-year-old grandson Will Tweedy must navigate this social maelstrom with grace and humor, while managing to do a little growing of his own. Stop by the reference desk to pick up a copy. But they don’t really have a choice—their parents are dead and their grandmother, Min, is taking them in. It’s strange to be in a new place. But luckily, it’s a very welcoming place.
