Eden’s Valley Gifts Has Moved From the humble beginnings of Valley Gifts at Trapper’s Square in Huntsville to two other locations in the Eats of Eden Plaza, Valley Gifts has now found its prime, and most accessible, location in the front of the plaza. Valley Gifts is located only a few steps from the Eats of Eden restaurant. The gift shop offers unique, one-of-a-kind home décor items and more. When Valley Hair Co. decided to move into the new building right behind their previous location, it was an opportunity for owner Carol Barnes to expand her shop as well as obtain higher visibility. The additional square footage the new location offers has allowed Carol to offer a wider variety of items, including embroidered clothing, furnishings, and many other items for decorating your home. Due to the many requests, a health foods and dietary supplement section has also been added. Marlene and Jim Cole of Harvest Moon Health Foods have added a variety of items to the store. If you are looking for a particular item related to health foods and can not find it, either call Marlene directly or request it through Valley Gifts. Valley Gifts provides a platform for many Valley residents to showcase their talents and craftsmanship. It is a great place to visit for those unique items. Artisans who sell their items through Valley Gifts include Sharon Bollom, offering handmade jewelry; Pam Crow – woven scarves and linens; Robert Jones – antique furniture and custom made cabinetry; Dixie Carol Barnes, owner of Valley Gifts. Warner – embroidered clothing and accessories; Sharon Lewis – Indian jewelry; Bert Hamblin – handmade pepper grinders; Stan Tixier – local author of cowboy poetry; Dennis Maher – local photography; Ryan Holding – chainsaw carved bears; Brenda Schussman – greeting and special occasion cards; Kay Chapman – woodwork; Jim Huddle - nature photography; Kevin Parsons – pottery; Shelley Beaty - crocheted and knitted items; Reed Dayton – walking sticks and decorative display ladders; Christine Orum – cards for various occasions; Jim Yeager - horseshoe art; Michael Wright – local photography; and Gayle Banks – Christmas ornaments. Stop by and see what Carol has to offer. Valley Gifts is open Tuesday thru Saturday from noon to 8:00 p.m. For more information, call 745-3717.
