Davis – Allen Lindsey Davis and Chris Allen were united in marriage on July 19 at the Salt Lake LDS Temple. The bride is the daughter of Chris and Kathy Davis of Roy. She graduated from Roy High School, LDS Seminary, and Southern Utah University with a master’s degree Samantha and Erik Oberg Shawnee and Austin Jenkins Speechly - Oberg Crook – Spainhower Samantha Sue Speechly and Erik Nels Oberg were united in marriage on August 2, 2007 in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. The ceremony was officiated by Lynn Newman. A garden reception was held in their honor at the home of the bride’s aunt and uncle. She chose April Maw, Amy Call, and Karli Oberg as her bridesmaids. Bennett Oberg, Taylor Oberg, Jake Oberg, and Jeff Speechly were the groomsmen. The bride is the daughter of Brent and Holli Speechly of Ogden. She graduated from Ogden High School and LDS Seminary. She attends Weber State University and is employed by McKay-Dee Hospital. Parents of the bridegroom are Craig and Lynette Oberg of Liberty. Erik graduated from Weber High School and LDS Seminary. He served in the Chile Vina Del mar LDS Mission. He attends Weber State University and is employed at Flying J. The new couple will live in North Ogden after their honeymoon to Puerto Vallarta, Mexico. Hannah Crook and Jason Spainhower were united in marriage on September 1, 2007 at Snowbasin with a garden reception held later that evening in Eden. The bride is the daughter of Susan and Richard Kotapish of Chardon, Ohio and Jeffrey Crook of Salt Lake City, Utah. The bridegroom is the son of Susie and Richard Spainhower of Eden. Jason graduated from Weber High School in 2000. He is currently employed by Medsource. The bride graduated from Chardon High School in 2006, and is also employed at Medsource. Returning Missionaries Sister Lyndee Saunders, daughter of David and Laura Saunders of Liberty, has returned from serving in the New York New York North Mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Anniversaries J. Leon and Dolores Harrison Jack and Karen Clark J. Leon and Dolores Harrison of Taylor celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary with and open house for family and friends on August 19 at their home in Taylor. They were married August 19, 1947 in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. He grew up in Malad, Idaho, and served in the U.S. Navy during World War II. A lifelong cowboy, he trained race horses and appeared in several movies with his teams, as well as the Living Scriptures. He enjoyed giving rides and sleigh rides for many years. He retired from Hill Air Force Base after 25 years. She grew up in the Northern California area and worked for many years as a dental assistant. She enjoys sewing and has made many baby blankets and quilts for her family. She also enjoys art and acting, and performed with her Aunt Mary in the United Service Organizations, Inc. She assisted in directing productions for her church. She enjoyed tap dancing for her children when they were young. The Harrisons were the 2006 grand marshals in the Huntsville parade. Both have served in many callings in the LDS Church. Their daughters and their spouses are Cindy Esterholdt, Debbie and David Moss, Jody and Brent Davis, Chris and Mark Stuart, Terrie and Rick Stephenson, and Brenda Harrison. They have many grandchildren and great grandchildren, and enjoy attending many of their school events and sports activities. Jack and Karen Clark of Ogden celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary on August 16, 2007. Their children honored them with a dinner at the Maddox Ranch House Restaurant. They were married in Preston, Idaho on August 16, 1957. Their vows were later solemnized in the Logan LDS Temple. He was born September 8, 1934 in Liberty to John and Martha Shaw Clark. He attended Weber High School, enlisting in the U.S. Army in 1954 until he was honorably discharged in 1956. He was employed at Cream O’ Weber Dairy until his medical retirement in 1978. She was born April 19, 1937 in Preston, Idaho to Roy and Ellen Sorenson. She graduated from Preston High School in 1955. She worked at the Internal Revenue Service, Defense Depot Ogden, and the U.S. Forest Service, retiring from the government after 33 years. Both enjoy gardening, having cookouts, and going camping with their children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. She also enjoys crocheting and knitting in her spare time. Their children and their spouses are Kathy and Danny Stokes, North Ogden; Kevin and Chris Clark, Layton; Ty (deceased) and Cindy Clark, West Jordan; Nathan and Peggy Clark, Syracuse; and Thane and Ruth Clark, Roy. They have 17 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
