The bridegroom is a graduate of Fremont High School and is employed with Hill Air Force Base. The new couple will live in Ogden after their honeymoon to Los Cabos, Mexico. Obituaries Rulon J. Miles Rulon J. Miles, 62, died Monday, June 28, 2004, surrounded by his cherished family at the home of his daughter, Lonni, after nearly four years of battling Leukemia. Rulon was born July 16, 1941, in Payson, Utah to Basil T. and Emma R. Hatch Miles. Rulon served an LDS mission in Northern Germany. Upon his return he and Deanna Lindsay of Eden, Utah were married in the Logan Temple of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. They were later divorced, but continued to care for each other and remained good friends. Over the years, Rulon served in many church callings including the Stake High Counsel and Bishop of the Eden Ward. He was a wonderful Scout Master and youth leader, and was truly loved by the young men and women and those blessed to serve and work with him. He was a special grandpa will be deeply missed. Rulon Miles Rulon recently retired from the Ogden City Schools payroll and accounting department after nearly 20 years. He was blessed to work with many wonderful people—we’ re so grateful for our friends from the school district. Surviving are Deanna L. Miles of Eden, Utah; Christian Anderson, Clinton, Utah, his partner of nearly five years; five children, Lee (Marilyn) Miles, Eden, Utah; Lynne (Brad) Harper, West Weber, Utah; Lori Durrant, Eden, Utah; Lance (Nicole) Miles, Eugene, Oregon; Lonni (James) Dzineku, Syracuse, Utah; and 11 grandchildren Melanie, Mason, and Morgan Miles; Shawnee and Jacob Harper; Mitzi, Chelsea and Tanner Durrant; and Haden, Haylee, and Hunter Miles. Also surviving are five sisters, their spouses and children. He was preceded in death by his parents, a sister and brother-in-law, Rose Marie and Marvin Curtis; a niece; and a nephew. Special thanks to Legacy Hospice, especially Donette, Rhonda, Lyn and Amy for their compassionate care. Funeral services were held on Thursday, July 1, 2004 at the Myers Mortuary Chapel in Ogden, 845 Washington Blvd. At Rulon’s request, a closed casket viewing was held Wednesday and Thursday at the mortuary. Interment will be at Redwood Memorial Estates in Salt Lake City.
