He had the opportunity to serve as the studenbody secretary and in the Homecoming Royalty. He also was a four year Seminary graduate. He is the son of Laura, of Kamas, and Russ, of St. George. His brother is James and his sister, Brooke, is currently in the MTC and will be leaving on Oct. 17 for Carlsbad, CA. His grandparents are Ray and Gloria Bcthers. He would like to invite his family and friends to his Farewell which will be held on Sunday, Sept. 23. at 10:45 a.m. in the Kamas Second Ward House. Merlyn and Janice Johnson are pleased to announce the marriage of their granddaughter. Amber Lynn, to Steven Scott King, son of Russell and Judy King, on Friday, Sept. 28. The couple will be married in the Salt Lake LDS Temple and request the pleasure of your company at a reception, from 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. that evening, at the Coalville Stake Center, Coalville. Commission Marine Corps on Aug. 10 at Quantico MCAS, Virginia. The grueling 10 weeks Officer Candidate School focused on leadership, academic excellence and physical fitness. Troy was commissioned by his father, Lt. Colonel ( USAF retired) Ken Rees Jr., during the commissioning ceremony. After commissioning he will complete 6 months of infantry training at Quantico, followed by pilot training at Pensacola NAS, Florida. Troy graduated fium South Utah University in May, 2001 with a degree in Psychology. He is the son of Ken and Terry Rees of Las Vegas, Nv, and Connie Lee of Draper, of Utah. His grandparents are Ken and Mil Rees, of Hoytsville, and Merl Carpenter, of Kamas.
