North Summit School District has employed Steve as a bus driver since 1972. He is currently the senior driver of the District and transports a lot of our District's extracurricular activity runs. Steve is a very respected member of North Summit School Districts transportation department Steve is married to Karren Richins and they have six children: Christa, Troy, Lisa. Sarah, Brianna, and Garrett Steve is a lifetime rancher in the sheep and cattle business. He and his family are residents of Henefer. Steve enjoys snowmobil-inplaying his guitar and traveling. To honor Steve for his award, the Utah Safety Council is holding an awards luncheon in Salt Lake City. Congratulations, Steve! g, Stephen P. Richins After i four month remodeling job. the Family History Center housed in the Coalville Stake Center is now open for public use. It is located at 40 North Main in the southeast corner of the building. Upgraded from the previous facility, it now has four computer stations with printers, four microfilm readers, and two microfiche readers in addition to many resource books and CDs. An Open House will be held on Oct. 2, 3 and 4, from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. Many displays on various aspects of Family History work will be on view for the public. There will also be some demonstrations on how to use the comput er programs, digital cameras, scan- ning photos and documents and using the Internet for researching your Family History. Numerous staff members will be on duty to take you on tour of the facility and explain the many classes and programs available. We extend an invitation to every-oo- e in the community to join us at our new facility and become acquainted with what is available for you in researching your ancestors. Our Center will be open Monday, from '9 a.m. to 1 p.m., Tuesday through Thursday, from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m., Friday by appointment only, and Saturday, from 8 a.m. to 12 noon. 5 rocky Mountain butters and Gris fcc. Richins has been selected by the Utah Safety Council to receive the Bus Driver of The Governors Youth Council Swings Into Action COMMUNITY PUBLICITY CORRESPONDENT: LACY SIDDOWAY Public officials in both Summit and Wasatch Counties have declared September official WasatchSummit County Children's Justice Center Month. In appreciation of WSCJC month South Summit's Governor's Youth Council members' are sponsoring a snack drive for the Children's Justice Center located in Hebcr City. Students at South Summit High School are encouraged to make donations of nonperishable snack items for the Children's Justice Center at the office. All small donations will help! GYC President, Heather Tompkins stated, The Justice Center has a shortage of snacks right now. so any contribution that we can make will help them exit.
