Senior and son of Ken and Susan Siddoway faced his first opponent, from Parowan and pinned him in the second round. His quarterfinal match up was with a Millard and wrestler, whom he defeated his semi final match was an opponent from Manti whom he defeated by a 6--1 score. Devin had assumed he would battle for the state title against a returning State Champion trom Millard, but he was defeated hy Troy Pay from Juab an opponent Devin had defeated three times during the regular season, twice in overtime matches. In a hard fought match, Devin came out on top to win 4-- 2 and a State Title. Derek Siddoway. a Sophomore, faced an opponent from Grand, who had placed second in region to his third place, in his first round at State Competition. Derek pinned him in the second round. The win advanced Derek to the quarter finals where he then met up with a southern region champion, who was awarded most outstanding .wrestler at his region tournament. That match was won hy score. His next win was a 16-Dan Rut of South Summit, against with a score of His state win was against an opponent from Duchesne whom he had wrestled earlier in the year in Vernal. 1 Terek won that important match 9-- 0 and met his personal goal of taking slate in the 133 pound class. His parents are Ken and Susan match. North Summit was proud to have 8 of II wrestlers come home with medals with team standings of first Millard, second Juab and third North Summit a great goal for the team as the school is one of the smallest schools in the 2A division. Congratulations! Kelsey Rohinson, a senior and team captain for the North Summit Wrestling team captured the gold in the 171 lb. weight division at the State Tournament on Saluiday. Feb. 17. He won his first match against Kyle Denton from Manti with a pin in the first round. His second match was won with a score of 0 against Shane Williamson trom Paniwan. Next, he took on Chris Painter from Juab winning with a score of 12-For his final match and the gold medal he wrestled Brody lewis of South Summit who he pinned in the third round. Kelsey also won the region title on Feb. 10 where he received the outstanding wrestler award for the upper weight div ision. lie is the son of Wes and Kellie Robinson and the grandson of Ernie and L'lahna Rohinson and Ixs and 6-- last, we want the chance to earn your local business.
