A vehicle license plate check showed the vehicle had been sold. The driver could not he located. A driver who had taken a bus loud of students to the Olympic Park aJvised someone had taken a JVC' digital camcorder f rom the pocket of his coal sometime while n was hanging on the hack of a chair in the lodge. He told the officer there were a lot of people inside the lodge at that time and could not report any suspects. While on patrol, an officer noticed a young female child standing along the side of the road There was also a vehicle parked up the road that looked like it was watching the girl, so the officer went to speak with the driver. He told the officer he was wailing for the bus tu drop his child off and that the little girl is always down there at the same time he is and waiting for the bus. Officers responded to the Samak area on un agency assist call from Salt Lake County, who had advised that a stolen vehicle may he in the area. The of ficers could not locale the vehicle. A complainant called lo report several vehicles were racing up and down the street. One suspect vehicle had been driven to the end of the street und gotten stuck in tlie snow. On speaking with the driver, tlie officer was told it was all done in fun and that he was going to pull the car out und go home. The officer cautioned on tlie danger of such driving and said if there W'ere any more complaints someone could go lo jail. Teachers involved in an overnight project with students at a private schixil called to report hearing noises coming fiom the roof as if someone was walking on it. An officer went lo the scene where he noticed tracks coming off the building but couldn't follow them because they went onto the pavement. The officer patrolled the area the rest of the night but did not see anyone nor were any more reports called in. An officer went to the Crystal View apartments on a noise complaint. The male who came lo the door said he was the one renting tlie apartment. He was told to keep the noise level down which he said he would do. After selling beer to a male individual, an employee, while driving to their home, noticed the same mule handing the beer to a minor and called dispatch. Both the minor and the adult were located by the deputies and transported to the jail where they were charged with Minor in Possession and Adult Furnishing of Supply. The beer was txxiked as evidence. Officers went lo a site where a construction trailer was sitting that was possibly a stolen one. ll was later determined that the trailer should be towed and impounded in Wasatch County where a number of additional thefts linked to the trailer had taken place. Additional etiarges on the suspect being held were auto theft and snowmobile theft. Summit County detectives were involved with the case. A complainant from Idaho culled to report that someone had hit her jeep while it was parked overnight at a residence in. Park City. Pieces of the other vehicle were still laying at tlie scene as well as noticeable damage to the jeep.
