Overall the Wildcat team took second place and fourteen wrestlers qualified for state. It's been a fun past four years swimming for South Summit. liven though our team was small this year, we all pulled together and had a blast." Rebecca Iaimhert reminisced. Thank you, swim-mci- The South Summit wrestlers traveled down to North Summit in high spirits to compete in the 2A divisional wrestling tournament. The tournament began at 9 a.m. Saturday mourning and continued through the day and into the night. The Wildcats did very well with eight wrestlers in the final championship for first and second place, and five wrestlers competing for third and fourth. Our fourth place wrestlers included Cole Bisel. Tyree Ijcnhy and Jake Neff. Our third place wrestlers included Casey King, Michael DcGering, and Ryan McNeil. Our second place wrestlers Students Visit State Capital Student Writer: Amanda Baird the House. He explained to them the South Summit Student Body officers along with Mr. Bowen's Government class traveled down to Salt Lake to spend a day at the process each bill goes through to become a law. Representative Ure also educated the students on the issues he strongly favors. The students were taken on a tour of the State Capital and were shown Legislature. The sludcnthody officers were able to sit in the balcony of the House and Senate to observe the introduction of hills into both bodies of government. These same students w'erc privileged to meet with Representative Ure to discuss the important role constituents play in all the historical features which adorn the halls of the State Capital. After the tour the students dinned in the State Capital's cafeteria where they enjoyed a delicious lunch. The Studentbody officers and Mr. Bowen's class would like to thank Representative Ure for taking time out of his schedule to speak with (he Legislative process. The Government class, along with them. Amanda was able to sit on the House floor and observe the debates on the hills presented to the hut she was able to talk to Representative Dave lire's intern. Ryle Kobe, and discussed political science with him over lunch. This allowed Amanda to sec what .she would he doinp in the future. This was an excellent experience 'for Amanda. While Representative Dave Die was in a meeting she had the opportunity to meet and speak with Governor Mike Lcavit.
