With 43 chil- dien ranging from ages 6 to 14, the High School Swim team instructed and critiqued the Jr. swim team in competitive skills. These skills included: pulling, kicking, flip turns, stroke development for free style, back stroke, breast stroke and butterfly, distance endurance and overall stamina for swimming. The main focus for this program was to heighten the interest and swimming ability in the children who participated. These children included: Steffanie Thomas, David Crain, Bill Hoyt, Scott Marchant, Kelly Fitzpatrick, Jared Fitzpatrick, Ashley Clegg, Riata Mitchell, TJay Mitchell, Whittney Prescott, Krista Mollus Mica Tiffany Cummings, Cummings, Kim Matrinez, Kaelee Jensen, Megan Jensen, Christopher Viar, Ashley Hansen, Meghan Jones, Paula Tapp. Heather Anderson, Megan Lee, Shantel Peterson, Sarah Lambert, Kristi Lambert, Kiry Bodily, Brittany Bodily, Brianna Bodily, Raina Mahanes, Autum Fitzgerald, Skyler Embry, Evan Hansen, McKenze Meehan, Andy Meehan, Sam Embry, Taisa Rice, younger swimmers, it was quite convenient. Other races included 30 yard and 100 yard sprints in freestyle, backstroke, breasts toke. butterfly and the individual medley. The older or more experienced swimmers delighted in these races. The South Summit Jr. Swim Team coaches would like to congratulate all those who swam well and received ribbons in their races, and an excellent job to those who may have not. Also, thanks to all those who helped out with the program. South Summit hopes next year will bring a greater success and participation rate than this year. Thank You again. Katie Leavitt. This schedule proved to be beneficial when the team members competed !h four swim meets against Heber and Coalville swim teams. Though hectic at times, every meet was a great success. Team members used the skills learned during practice to swim well in their races and make their parents proud, (which happened no doubt!).
