Show Afround the Lountu The Summit County Bee October 22, 1999 0 Saints & Sinners of Summit County Halloween Cemetery Tours St. George Marathon r tribute A r TTIo Father 15 Halloween weekend brings you an opportunity to convoy with the Summit County Historical Society to visit a few of the County's resting places. On location at each cemetery will be a living resident to tell stories and point put interesting features of each. As the Mormon pioneers spread out from the first settlement in Salt Lake City, they established most of the small towns of Summit County in the 1830's and 60' s. Life was hard in the small communities and people struggled to secure basic necessities. The first grave sites would naturally have been on the farms and near the places where people gathered for safety and social occasions. Join ps in Hcnefer at 9 a.m. on Saturday morning, October 30, for a day of touring a few of these hallowed sites. Feel free to join us for the day, or come and go as your time permits.
