Show December 25, 1998 The Summit County Bee North Summit by Margaret Sargent, Eleanor Motby and Grant Geary. Then George Perkins presented each one with a gift packet of holiday nuts. George is an angel as well as our Man of the Hour and the very generous donation he gave the dub is most appreciated. Wb sang For Hes A Jolly Good Fellow" to him but that doesnt begin to express the love we have for that man. He is like our family. What Lynn Anderson needs right now is positive thinking and that is what we are sending to him as he begins his chemo treatments. We hope he and Pat will be able to be with us for our New Years Eve Party on Dec. 31. Dont know yet, exactly what time we will get started but you can bet your boots we're going to have a great time and the more that come the merrier we can make it We will bring in 1999 and plan on all being here to see the turn of the century come in. Okay! No time is a good time to lose a loved one but somehow during the Senior Citizens BY LOUISE WALLACE Coordinator between Summit Count and Mountainlands so we hope to see him at our table much more often. Merry Christmas Gordon and a heartfelt thanks as well. Persistence does pay off. Gen and Grant Geary have .the proof. They finally convinced Keith Shaw that hevshould come to seniors and give us a try. Welcome Keith, hope you liked us enough that you will make a habit of being here all the time. Like Charlie Moore, he tried it, he liked it and besides we need you young fellows real bad. We were happy to have Loraine Rock back and know that she had a good time on her vacation to Quartzsite, AZ, and Branson, MO, but then I cannot imagine her not having a good time wherever she goes. We had our special Christmas dinner and program on Friday. The musical group presented us with the finished product of their practice sessions. They not- only had Christmas carols that we all love but they had poems, solos, a dance by Barbara Roemmich and a harmonica number by Donald Judd. We thank them all and say, Keep up the good Let it mow. Isnt it grand? Especially when it gets shoveled by another's hand. I remember as a child the only time we didnt have tpow for Christmas in Idaho was the yesr Old Santa brought our big sled. Thst sled was big enough to hold five kids at once or two kids and a box of wood. Boy that sled did get its uses in the years to follow. We had a great week with President Delia Griffith conducting affairs each day. She welcomed Sharon Lund and her class of North Summit fourth graders on . Wednesday. They entertained us royally and brought tears and laughter to even the biggest scrooge of us all And you know something, they can come back anytime they want to. Not only did they know their parts but we were greatly impressed at how polite and well mannered they were. Now that says something for their home training and for the good teachers at school. Of course, the fact that some of us had kids related to us among that group made us even more proud of them. Delia welcomed Gordon Taylor. We all know that Gordon has been stretching himself pretty thin for us the past 20 or so odd years, now he is going to turn over the duties of the President of the South Summit club Glen Smith in to President-Elec- t, bad though. feel too Dont January.
