This year reminds me of the year my brother and I begged n for NEW sleds, not the ones our older brothers We left subtle hints all around the house: pichad tures taped on the fridge doors, pictures on the bathroom mirror and, of course, the wish book (catalog) left casually open to the sleds. We tried everything. Being good and doing all we were asked - even homework and cleaning our room. Christmas Eve rolled around and there was nothing under the tree anywhere near large enough to hide what we wanted most. We went to bed somewhat dismayed, and didn't sleep all that well. We arose in the morning to find two NEW, shiny sleds in the middle of the living room floor. Terrific! We grabbed the sleds and ran out to try them on the brown grass. We lived less than 12 miles from the Continental Divide in Montana and had no snow. The family piled in the station wagon and drove over 50 miles trying to find enough snow. I remember the fun of the trip, and the family togetherness tiat year more than the sleds. hand-me-dow- out-grow- n. vv Picture by Derek Richards JJtDY 1 Our joy is having wonderful folks as customers and friends. like you Merry Christmas! ...
