Delaire, pastor of the Immaculate Conception Church at Provo, was the guest of Father Lagan at Eureka on : Wednesday, September 15th. Miss Mary Harrington, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Dennis Harrington, has been added to the teaching staff of the Academy of St. in Salt Lake City. Mary-of-the-Wasat- Telephone 168. Sunday evening, 7:30 p. m. t moraing, September 26th, to commemorate the one hundred and fiftieth anniversary of the coming of the great Spanish missionary, Father Escalante, to the shores of Utah Lake. The Young Ladies Sodality held their regular meeting at St. Josephs Hall on Tuesday evening, September 21st. A goodly number of the members were in attendance. ch Mrs. J. H. Norman has recently returned to her home after spending several months in southern California. Mr. and Mrs. Frank Garrity and daughter have been visiting during the month of September in Salt Lake City. At a meeting of the Eureka Council No. 1136, Knights of Columbus, held on Tuesday evening, September 15th, new officers were elected for the year 1927. A social evening at which refreshments were served followed the election. The new officers are the following: Grand Knight, John V. Fennell; Deputy Grand Knight, Bernard Fennell; Chancellor, Joseph Harrington; Recorder, L. P. Davis; Advocate, W. R. Rita; Inside Guard, Dan McCann; Outside Guard, P. J. McCarthy; Trustee, J. J. Matthews. Mr. and Mrs. C. E. Huish and daughter, Frances, have returned to Eureka after a visit of several days in the capital, A great number of people from Eureka attended the open-ai- r Solemn High Mass which was sung at Spanish Fork on Sunday St. Josephs School opened its doors for the on Tuesday morning, year 1926-192- 7 tember 7th. There was a very large Eureka and vicinity have supplied a considerable number of students for the Academy and College of St. in Salt Lake City. Mary-of-the-Wasat- ch Mrs, Stella Shea and daughter Helen ited recently in Salt Lake City. Sister Eusebia, of the Holy Cross Order, a sister of Mrs. J. E. OConnor, was a recent visitor to Eureka. Sister Eusebia has been assigned to teaching at the school of St. Marys of the Assumption, Park City. ' Kenneth Garrity, who was injured some time ago in one of the mines, and who went to a Salt Lake hospital for treatment, is getting along nicely. Miss Anna Coffey was hostess, on Tuesday, evening, September 1st, of a picnic party at the Payson Park.
